18U Lady Stormers win IUP College Showcase

After seeding 5th in pool play the 18U Lady Stormers defeated the 4th, 3rd, and 1st seeds to win the Championship. Sunday saw the Stormers winning against two opponents they lost to on Saturday, outscoring the competition 25-5. Congratulations to the girls on a hard fought victory.
16u (Shaak) Team Wins USSSA Qualifier in Reading

The Lady Stormers 16u blue team recently won the USSSA Line Drive Challenge in Reading on the weekend of June 1 & 2. They posted a perfect 7-0 record while outscoring opponents 63-6 to win the tournament.

Courtney pitched not one but 2 perfect games, back to back, at the USSSA June Jamboree on Saturday June 8,2013. It’s extremely rare to have a perfect game and almost impossible to pitch 2 in the same day. The 16U Schoenstadt team (3-0,10-0) seeded first in the tournament. Way to go Courtney !!!!

The First Weekend of May

The Lady Stormers 16U Schoenstadt team has officially exceeded their fund raising goal for the 2012-2013 season. A very big Thank You to all of the parents, players, and companies that worked hard all year to support the team.

16U Lady Stormers Chicken BBQ
The 16U Lady Stormers Schoenstadt team will be holding a chicken BBQ on Saturday May 4, 2013 at the Ephrata Mennonite Church. All funds raised will benefit the 16U Schoenstadt team. Dinners will be $5.00 including a 1/4 chicken, a drink, chips, and a dinner roll. Chicken alone will be $3.00. We hope to see you there !!!

18u Lady Stormers WIN Twinkle -Twinkle USSSA 18u Open National Qualifier!
Congratulations to the Lady Stormers 18u team for winning the Twinkle Twinkle USSSA National qualifier last night (2/22) playing In the Net, in Palmyra. The tournament was made up of A and B class teams from PA and NY. The 18u lady Stormers went a perfect 4-0 averaging 5 runs a game while only giving up 1.5.
The Lady Stormers clinched the championship by beating a very good 16uA Tri State Thunder 1-0, this was the Thunder’s first USSSA loss for 2013. By winning the 18u Stormers are now qualified for national competition. They join the 14u High, 16u Shaak and 16u Schoenstadt Lady Stormers as qualified national teams!
Thirty-One Fund Raiser

16U (Shaak) Team Qualifies for USSSA Nationals
The place to be on Super Bowl Sunday was the Sports Dome not the Superdome. It was all about softball. The Lady Stormers U-16 (Shaak) team placed second in a USSSA National Qualifying Tournament on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The second place finish earned the team a berth to Nationals and was done on strong pitching and solid defense. It was an entire team effort. The only lose of the day came in the Championship game by a single run.

16U Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
The Lady Stormers 16U Supported Breast Cancer Awareness in PINK this weekend as they competed against A level teams from VA at the USSSA NIT Breast Cancer Awareness National Qualifier in Sterling VA. The Stormers Placed a strong 5th as they gave up an average of ONLY 2 runs a game. The Stormers 16U Schoenstadt team is 7-5-1 this Fall playing a VERY Strong Schedule and Qualifying for Nationals before the summer season even kicks off and amassing 370 USSSA points in the process.
14u Stormers Qualify for USSSA Nationals
The 14u High Lady Stormers team finished 2nd in the Maryland USSSA Tournament on October 14, 2012. Playing in the tournament Championship game has qualified them for 14U USSSA Nationals in 2013. Great job and a great way to start the 2012-2013 season.

16U Starts Strong for 2012-2013
Congratulations to the 16U Lady Stormers team on their 2nd place finish at the USSSA Open Potomac River Clash in Virginia. The Lady Stormers 16U picked up where they left off in July after a great season. With 4 new additions, the team is stronger than ever. They played top teams from VA and competed all weekend to a 4-1 record with timely hitting, great pitching, and of course DEFENSE! The Ladies only gave up 7 runs thru 4 games before battling a very strong Ashburn Shooting Stars 16UA from VA in the championship game.
The 16U Ladies also qualified for the USSSA World Series with this finish. Coach Bruce is very proud of all the girls and expects more hard work to produce outcomes similar to this one all year long.
Next up is an Oct 6th-7th Showcase in Glen Burnie MD, then another tough tournament in VA where the girls will welcome the competition.
